When Grace Robinson founded the Old Masonic Girls’ Association (OMGA) in 1912, she initiated a Grant Fund to support former RMS pupils experiencing difficult times. Upon Grace’s death in 1967, the Grant Fund was renamed in her honour.

In 2019, the OMGA committee and members voted to hand over the administration of their activities and funds, including the Grace Robinson Memorial Fund, to the School. Committee members agreed that rather than being used for general school purposes, the funds should be added to the RMS Bursary Fund. You can see the full agreement of the handover here.

The RMS Bursary Fund preserves the heritage of the school by offering access to girls who would benefit from an education at the school, whatever their financial circumstances.

The School will continue to offer support to Old Girls just as the OMGA has always done through the Grace Robinson Memorial Fund. The School will continue the tradition of supporting elderly members of the community and Old Girls experiencing difficult times. Small grants for retraining, books and resources are also available.

We were Masonic Girls through and through. The School gave us our roots, a place to grow and become someone
