Life at Ruspini House is busy, fun and full of adventure. Whilst no two days are the same, we keep a sense of routine and structure that our children and families love.

Dropping off

Mornings aren’t always easy, but we do everything we can to ensure a positive start to the day for our families. When children arrive, they will get a warm welcome from our staff and lots of exciting things to do!

Purposeful Play

Supportive teachers extend and scaffold children’s learning with a balance of adult-led teaching and child-initiated learning. We use the children’s interests to plan practical experiences which provide rich learning opportunities, with quality resources and sensitive teaching that is responsive to each child’s needs, enabling them to become motivated independent learners.

Teacher-led learning

Our teachers lead structured activities with small groups throughout the day. These sessions are linked to our seven learning principles and allow children to highlight their knowledge and progress. If teachers identify gaps in a child’s learning, they are quick to provide additional support.

The great outdoors

Outdoor learning is a crucial part of a child’s wellbeing and development, so rain or shine, our nursery children are outside everyday. In our spacious and inviting outdoor spaces, our children can explore, discover new passions and learn to take appropriate risks.

Mealtimes

Meals and snacks are prepared by our fantastic catering team. Lunchtime whilst relaxed and sociable, provides a learning opportunity and further builds a sense of community. We know that some children can be fussy eaters, so our teaching staff are on hand to ensure children are well supported.
