Last week Year 4 had an unforgettable experience at Shortenills Eco Centre in Amersham.
As soon as they arrived they were thrown in at the deep end with a tricky challenge…making their beds!
The week’s highlights included orienteering, learning how to use a compass and working as a team to build a shelter that would keep out the rain. The girls thoroughly enjoyed making their shelter a ‘home from home’ and one even had a washing line with outdoor seating area!
As part of our Science topic on classification, the girls collected and studied creatures from the pond, using a microscope to investigate further. The teachers considered pond dipping a success as none of the girls fell in!
After four long days, the girls were sad to leave but were excited to tell their parents all about their adventures.
You can see lots of photos of our trip here… (and we mean lots!)
