The School is delighted with another year of excellent results in Sixth Form examinations. 17% of grades were A*, 48% were A* to A, and 75% A*-B, with over half the year group achieving at least two A grades or better, and 22% of students achieving straight A* and A grades.

The School prepares students in thirty four different subjects, including thirty A Levels.  Performance was strong across all subjects.  Notable successes came in Art, Business, Computer Science, Geography, Government and Politics, Performing Arts, Physical Education and Spanish, where 100% of students achieved A*-B grades.  In Physics 80% of grades were A*-A, in Mathematics 63% of grades were A*-A, and in History 62% of grades were A*-A.  In the EPQ, 50% of projects were awarded A* grades and 79% were awarded A*-A grades.

All of our Oxbridge, Medicine, Veterinary Science and Dentistry students achieved their places, and almost 90% of students took up places at their first or second choice universities.  As ever at RMS, students head off in a range of directions and all that matters is each student finds the right course at the best university for her; this year RMS girls will be studying over 30 different undergraduate subjects at 34 different universities, including students winning places at highly competitive drama courses and girls studying at international universities as far afield as Melbourne, Australia.

Headmaster Kevin Carson said “The students have achieved superb results that are the culmination of years of commitment from girls and teachers alike.  The students sat reformed, more rigorous A levels and I am delighted that almost half of all grades were A*-A and three-quarters of grades were A*-B.  I wish the girls to celebrate their deserved success yet also to know that they are so much more than these examination results, with their success and happiness in life coming because of their many skills, qualities and their character.”

Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Freeman said “I am so proud of all that the girls have achieved through their hard work and dedication, and I am sure that all of their skills developed at RMS will stand them in good stead whatever path in life they are now following.”
