RMS hosted the District Cross Country Championships this year and fielded teams in all the age groups to start the season.
The course was a challenging 2.3km for Years 7 to 9 and 3.3km for Year 10 and Seniors. Over 17 schools entered teams in the various age groups and the girls ran superbly in some difficult conditions. Congratulations to Carys A for finishing in 2nd place in the Year 8 race and Caitlin J, who finished 1st in the Senior race and was therefore crowned District Champion.
Special mention and congratulations must go to the Year 10 team who dominated their race. Jane W finished 1st and was crowned District Champion, Grace I was 2nd, Ella P finished 3rd and Steph R 4th. With the rest of the team consisting of Isabella F, Mia I and Georgina V all finishing in the top 20 it meant that the whole team won their age group with an amazing score and are now Year 10 Girls Team District Cross Country Champions for the year.
