Last week Reception had a stellar time at the RMS Planetarium, guided by the fantastic Mrs. Sears.

RMS is extremely privileged to be one of the few schools in the UK with its own Observatory and Planetarium.

During the session, Reception explored constellations like the Big Dipper, Cassiopeia, and the Great Orion. Reception discovered each constellation’s unique features and seasonal variations.

A special highlight was gazing at the Great Orion, as pupils observed its visibility in winter, gradually moving out of sight in summer. What’s even more exciting is that this astronomical joy is not exclusive to Reception; students from Nursery to Sixth Form enjoy our unique facilities, infusing their learning with fun and fascination.

Thank you to Mrs. Sears for making this cosmic journey possible and enriching learning beyond the classroom.
