Four hundred years ago, Emilia Bassano wanted her voice to be heard. It wasn’t. Why was her story erased from history?
Emilia is inspired by the life of the 17th century poet and proto- feminist Emilia Bassano. An all-female, diverse cast tells the story of this little-known, extraordinary woman who penned radical and subversive words, streets ahead of her time.
