In a lively exploration of culture and history, Year 5 pupils experienced an engaging morning with Mexicolore today.

With over 40 years of experience, Mexicolore specialises in providing captivating educational sessions in schools across the country, particularly focusing on the Mexica (Aztecs) and Maya civilizations.

Ian Mursell, the passionate co-founder of Mexicolore, shared his extensive knowledge with the pupils alongside his colleague Jo, bringing history to life. His collection of artefacts added a tangible dimension, allowing pupils to connect with the ancient civilization up close.

Mexicolore’s interactive approach allowed pupils to experience firsthand the vibrant traditions of ancient Meso-America, from playing traditional instruments to dressing in typical Aztec clothing.

Thank you to Ian and Jo for creating such an engaging session that helped to foster curiosity and appreciation for the cultural wonders of Mexico among our Year 5 pupils.
