In an immersive workshop led by contemporary artist Sally Gilford, Year 10 Textiles pupils enjoyed a dynamic exploration of screen printing.

With over 15 years of experience in schools and art institutions, Sally’s approach emphasised multi-disciplinary art forms, encouraging pupils to experiment and express themselves.

Focused on the ‘Pattern & Print’ theme of their GCSE project, pupils explored colour, texture, and pattern. Guided by Sally, they created vibrant textile samples, each tied to their individual themes.

"The workshop was a great experience and a unique opportunity. Working with Sally Gilford was fun and we got to experiment with techniques that we might not have got to try during our normal lesson time."

Sally Gilford’s workshop not only ignited creative sparks but also left a positive and lasting impression on the pupils, as they continue their artistic journey.
