During the recent half-term break, the RMS for Girls U14 and U16 Hockey and Netball squads embarked on an exciting sports trip to Spain, venturing to the vibrant coastal town of Lloret del Mar and the bustling city of Barcelona.

This adventure was more than just a vacation; it was a fantastic opportunity for these young athletes to enhance their skills, experience new challenges, and create lasting memories.

During the first two days of the tour, the squads received expert coaching and competed in matches against local Spanish teams and fellow British schools. The display of teamwork and sportsmanship was truly fantastic.

Beyond the sports, the group explored the Portaventura Theme Park, enjoyed the breathtaking views from the Mirador Torre Glories, and even savoured some downtime at the beach.

Every single one of these young sports players should be proud of what they have achieved during this trip. They have been a credit to RMS and super fun to be with.

These sports trips, both within the UK and abroad, are an incredible way for young athletes to expand their horizons and gain a broader perspective on sports in various contexts. This Spanish adventure was just one of the many ways RMS encourages pupils to explore the world while pursuing their sporting passions.
