During the summer, we found out that RMS for Girls had been successful in our application to receive the Eco Schools Green Flag Award. Today, we stand tall and proud, unveiling ourselves as an official Eco Schools Green Flag School!
The Eco-Schools program offers a transformative seven-step framework, empowering young people to ignite change within their school, local community, and far beyond.
Throughout the last academic year, our student-led Eco Council passionately navigated through these seven transformative steps.
Applying for Eco-Schools accreditation isn’t just an acknowledgment; it’s a celebration of the extraordinary achievements of our diligent and passionate students. Their hard work has paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder!
We caught up with pupils who were part of the successful application to hear their feelings on receiving the news, as well as why they think it’s important for the school to have an active Eco Council. Here’s what they said:
