Year 7 girls were up early on Saturday morning in order to embark on their first trip: to London Zoo.
On arrival, the girls were excited to find out which animals they were going to meet and after a few photos, they went off exploring in their forms. The weather was looking a little dicey, so some of them decided to explore the covered options such as the rainforest and the reptile house. Other forms went to discover what happens at penguin feeding time.
The face painting lady was discovered at lunch time, much to the delight of Tiya and Miss Lavelle. The heavens opened but not for long and we were able to see the lions, gorillas and giraffes before we left.
It was a great opportunity for the girls to spend time with each other in a more relaxed setting and we hope it was the first of many occasions for new friendships to be enjoyed.
